Bebop Jazz, . Bebop or bop is a style of jazz developed in the early to mid-1940s in the United States. When it emerged, bebop was unacceptable not only to the general public but also to many musicians. There is tremendous variety in jazz, but most jazz is very rhythmic, has a forward momentum called "swing," and uses "bent" or "blue" notes.
